Free self defense class and demonstration for all ages at the Hyde Center, 90 Lincoln St., Newton Highlands, on Saturday, May 16, 2026 from 2pm - 3:30pm. Daniel Mola from Atom, Jiu-Jitsu & Science on Needham St., Newton Highlands will be sponsoring this event. All are welcome!
In this hands-on Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu workshop, you’ll experience practical self-defense principles based on leverage, balance, and intelligent movement—not strength or athleticism. More importantly, you’ll learn how to avoid dangerous situations and protect yourself if needed.
No experience required. Just show up ready to learn.
What to bring:
Athletic clothing that allows free movement
Sneakers (no sandals)
A bottle of water
Come train, ask questions, and see firsthand how effective self-defense really works.
